How to be a net controller. Would you like to try your hand at Net Control? Please read this first.

You can join the various nets or just listen on a repeater, Echolink or an IRLP node. To see the list of IRLP reflectors click here. There you will see the 9250 Western Reflector listed. This is where the Echolink Conferences are hosted on Echolink thanks to NARRI and Kent Johnson. Note the tabs at the top. You can find active nodes by number. (When you are signed in on Echolink, you will see the numbers listed) Note that the 9250 has 9 channels shown. The World conference is actually on channel 1 and shows in Echolink as 9251 because the Vegas and Pahrump (UHF) repeaters switch from 9250 to 9251 twice daily for the World conference nets. 9250 is the Hi-Gate conference on echolink. The VHF repeater in Pahrum is on 9251 24/7.
To find out more about the channels used by the Western Reflector go to the NARRI web page. On the left side is a list of the information about the system.

You need to be registered with Echolink in order to use the program but once registered, you can use the program on your computer (with a mic), tablet or smart phone. Some changes are coming with Echolink- keep your eyes open.

From the Echolink page you can "Take a Tour" and see how it works.
